Matlacha is a vibrant, funky, Old Florida town that is well-worth the visit. It is located a few minutes directly west of Cape Coral and north of Ft. Myers. Be sure to spend some time on the way to Sanibel and Captiva. There is live music in several of the bars/restaurants daily!

Leoma Lovegrove Gallery is a great first stop to see works by this local artist. Don’t miss the patio area and garden in the back with a painted trailer.

There are SO MANY shops and galleries to visit. A few of our favorties are Wild Child Gallery, Matlacha Menagerie and Bert's Pine Bay Gallery which has walls, floors and displays packed with unique and intriguing gift ideas, souvenirs and novelties made by dozens of Matlacha and Pine Island artists.
After an afternoon of shopping it's time for some food and a few drinks in the sun!
Bert's Bar is a must see for either lunch, a lazy Sunday Funday or that one of a kind sunset only found in Southwest Florida! It has some of our favorite seafood, plenty of local beers on tap and live music daily! Be sure to stop in the Bert's Bar store for a t-shirt, coozie or mug to take home! If you are local and have a boat, you can tie up and spend the afternoon on the water!

Blue Dog Bar and Grill is another must see bar! We love to pop in for a drink and strike up a conversation with others! They have some of the best seafood in Matlacha! Be sure to get the Stone Crab when in season!
